LeTerrain — Protecting by Sharing Since 2015
Nestled in the heart of La Pêche, Quebec, LeTerrain is a 430-acre off-grid wilderness sanctuary where forest, water, and wildlife thrive in balance. Since opening in 2015, our vision has been simple yet profound: protect by sharing.
For years, visitors discovered LeTerrain through our cozy cabins and the 20 km trail network winding through healthy forests and vibrant ecosystems. Along the way, many felt the wonder of our ancient stone constructs and the awe of a truly magical dark sky overhead.
In August 2025, this commitment to preservation reached a milestone: the Earth and Sky Foundation achieved official Dark Sky Preserve certification from the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada for Canada’s newest DSP right here at LeTerrain.
Today, LeTerrain is dedicated to protecting this wilderness sanctuary place for generations to come. Access is now reserved for those who wish to experience its mystery with intention — by booking a star-gazing pass or joining a guided tour of the ancient ruins.
At LeTerrain, the stars aren’t just overhead—they’re part of the story we tell on the land. Our newly recognized Dark Sky Preserve is a place of stillness and awe, where ancient stones meet modern astronomy, and where silence returns to the night. But preserving darkness isn’t just about turning off lights—it’s about turning on awareness.
The ancient ruins and colossal structures of LeTerrain and their thousands of clusters throughout the northeast are growing interest. Be part of the mystery of who built them and why. More information and tours are available - learn more...
